Leadership Team

Newel Linford, CPA, CISA
Newel has over 13 years of internal control and audit, IT assurance and advisory, and accounting experience; nine years of which were with a “Big Four”.  During his career, he has been responsible for a significant number of SAS 70 audits for companies spanning a variety of industries. Linford has developed SAS 70 training content, led SAS 70 training, and acted as the SAS 70 quality leader for an entire “Big Four” region within the United States. He also guest lectures at several universities on various topics related to advancements in information technology accounting. He is a CPA in the state of Colorado, a certified information systems auditor (CISA), and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of CPAs. Linford holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from Brigham Young University.

Dan Zitting, CPA, CITP, CISA
Dan has over eight years of experience in internal control and compliance audit, attestation and assurance services, and information technology; four years of which were with a “Big Four” accounting firm.  His expertise in information technology, systems infrastructure, and software is extremely rare among auditors having personally developed, deployed, and managed many significant software products and infrastructure systems. Dan is a CPA in the state of Colorado, a CISA and a member of the AICPA, Colorado Society of CPAs, Information Systems and Control Association, Institute of Internal Auditors, and Information Systems Security Association. Dan holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Information Systems and Finance, Magna cum Laude, from Colorado State University and a Master of Science degree in Accountancy, Magna cum Laude, from the University of Norte Dame.

Nicole Hemmer, CISA
Nicole has over nine years of experience in internal control based audit, project management, attestation and assurance services; seven of which were with a “Big Four”. She has held responsibility for significant number of SAS 70 audits, internal control reviews, IT general control reviews, and Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 attestation engagements for large SEC accelerated filers. She is also a CISA and member of the Information Systems and Control Association. Hemmer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Indiana University.
